Problem of the Week 10-4
Kyle is 3/8 of the way across a railroad bridge when he hears a train approaching from behind at 60 miles per hour. If Kyle turns and runs back toward the train, they will both reach the end of the bridge at the same moment. If Kyle continues running the same direction as the train, they will both reach the far end of the bridge at the same moment. How fast is Kyle running? Show all calculations and explain your reasoning.
